Stephenson Rebatch Soap Base
This base allows a customer to make "cold process" style soap without the need to handle Sodium Hydroxide / Lye. Most rebatch bases turn into a putty like material when melted and are difficult to mold. This product actually liquifies when melted making it much easier to pour into molds. * **Please note: while this is a "melt and pour" product, it requires a double boiler or slow cooker as it is not microwaveable* It is important to note that we supply the base as a solid block, in order to get it to look like the picture you would need to shave it yourself with a cheese grater.

Not what I expected.
I've ordered rebatch from another company before. The ingredients in the other order contained sodium hydroxide. I need only add a little water, FO and colorant. This base seems to only be melt and pour soap. I'm confused. Is this true rebatch or just melt and pour - not a form of cold process?

Love it
Melted this soap in the crock pot to make a cocoa butter/coconut oil, strawberry puree rebatch soap that came out fantastic.

Great and easy to use
Fantastic soap! I melted down the rebatch in a crock pot, then added about 3/4 cup of milk for each pound of rebatch. Silky smooth. Will buy again.

Best soap for unscented laundry detergent
This is a great soap for those of you that make their own laundry detergent. Easily grated with a zester, it dries much better and faster than many others I have tried. It also dissolves nicely in the machine.

Great for Beginners
Just started making my own soap this past year and this was the first product I bought. I have made several batches and they all turned out great and smelled wonderful. I would recommend this product especially for beginners like myself who want to avoid the Lye(s).

An EXCELLENT Rebatch,Fantastic Quality
I was a bit skeptical as I have never seen rebatching come out smooth, however, this product DOES liquefy, though its very thick, so liquefy isnt the right word...moreso becomes a "smoother" product. This product is great indeed if you want to do all the swirling techniques; you do have to work faster than normal , but here are a few tips that you might want to consider doing: 1) Add 1 cup per pound of grated rebatch base; this WILL liquefy the product, and your cure time will be an additional ten days to 14 days, but you will get a VERY smooth easily swirlable product. This is a DREAM for a semi rustic Oatmeal Milk and Honey soap. If you want a semi thick base, simply decrease milk to half cup per pound of base. You cam get a smooth creamy base in the oven as well, using the one cup per pound of base, but you simply add the milk (I use reconstituted goats milk) stir, leave overnight then add one more cup in the morning, and put in a preheated 200F oven for about an hour and a half;the finished product on any of these applications is VERY similar to cold process, the oven one being near identical. Lathers like a dream. Good stuff; a definite keeper indeed, for created MORE than the mere rustic look you would normally get from a rebatch!
