Does what it should do but...
I found this soap to lather just fine, but it's not the most pretty for first time soap makers! It was my first time, and it was definitely more difficult to work with because it's easy to see any kind of imperfection.
Also, it might dry out the skin a little -unsure though. One of the soaps I did that was mixed with pink clay and activated charcoal powder really dried out my skin (could have been those extra products, though) -
Great value for the money
I use this base in my "treasure" soaps and it always comes out really clear. The kids love them!

High Clarity Vanilla Stable
I have no idea if my last review posted or not, but this base is formulated so that fragrances containing vanillin do NOT DISCOLOUR WITHOUT the use of Vanilla Colour Stabiliser!!!
I purchased both this (HCVS) & the Crystal Clear (ST) to see which was clearer and the Crystal Clear is clearest, but this is better if using a vanillin containing fragrance! WILL REORDER! -
High Clarity Vanilla Stable
Did anyone else know that this particular m&p soap is formulated so that vanillin does NOT discolour it WITHOUT the use of a vanilla colour stabiliser or was it just me??? Hence the 'HCVS'!
Besides that, this is a wonderful base although not as clear as the crystal Stephenson's base which I have not used yet, but held this up next to in order to see which was most clear. Will reorder! -
Great product and is as described
I purchased this in the past and it was yellow in the package. Being it was advertised as crystal clear it seemed as though it didn't get what I ordered. Customer service was great about it refunding my $$ and not requesting it be returned. I used it for a soap that didnt need to be crystal clear. Once I began cutting the block into smaller pieces it was clear this soap was crystal and so easy to cut through! I am now a satisfied customer and have ordered a bunch more! Its fantastic!

Love this one!
We have tried several of the Stephenson Melt and Pour soaps. Although we have been happy with each one we love the clarity and adaptability for color of the Ulta Clear! Every project whether a clear bar with a picture embed or a brilliant mica colored bar, turns out perfect. This is our "go to" MP!!
