I have a lot of books on herbal remedies, but none compares to this one! At first it was confusing as I had never heard of the herbs he was discussing. Then, in the back of the book, the common names are listed. I found names of herbs and weeds that I had been unsuccessful in finding in the past. It takes a lot to impress me, but I was truly impressed. I believe it's one of the best books I have in my library.

This book is detailed in a way that I have not seen from any other herbal author. Mr. Buhner describes how conventional antibiotics are no longer working for many superbugs & gives specific info on various bacteria. The book has sections for herbs that treat the body systemically, locally, synergistically and also herbs for the immune system. There is a section where he discusses different extraction methods & another where he gives you the formulas for creating many different tinctures, infusions, decoctions, etc. If you are looking for serious answers to serious illness, this may be the book for you.

Tho the author uses words I can't even pronounce, he does break it down to simple terms. He is very thorough and gives reasons why he believes what he does about any medicinal herb.
