Matte finish, orange in tone. Use by itself or to deepen the tone of other colors. This pigment powder color has been filtered of harmful impurities. When used in clear bases, the color will not remain transparent. A pastel color is produced in opaque (white) bases.

Very nice for CP Soapmaking
Lovely shade of red. A little goes a long way. It is not a vibrant red which is expected of oxides but it's actually very pretty and reminds me of a reddish maroon shade of Mac lipstick :)

Not OK for Lipstick or Lipbalm use
I purchased this to tint my lipbalms, only to find out it is not food grade. It would have been good to have known that on the website before I ordered it.

Very bold
This red is very solid in cold process soap. It is a deep red and I have not had a problem with staining or color leaving soap. It is very earthy and a little goes a long way. Very happy with this colorant.

More pink than red
I was looking for a bright red. This came out more deep pink in my swirl. Still very pretty and you only need a tiny bit. I plan to experiment with more colors from Bulk Apothecary.

Pigment color
I bought dead sea salt and wanted to make the Carmel apple scrub of course I needed color. I only made a cups worth, so it took only a smidgen for the perfect color. Very happy. I actually have two more colors in my wish list. And yes wear gloves to mix your product.

Very potent
A small amount went a long way in my cold process soap making. It's an appealing natural earthy look.

Stains though
Great color but only use a very very small amount, and be careful not to let it get in your hands. Beautiful red!
